The Indian Bowl is a 1939 WPA built facility featuring 10,000 seat football stadium, track and football facility. Because it was located behind the Junior High, it had no real “front door”. The design approach features an inviting plaza and a covered entry pavilion with a wall for past champions, ticketing, concession and rest rooms.
The renovation of the stadium included a new three level press box that includes coaches suites, VIP suites, Press suites, hospitality areas and a enclosed camera deck on the top floor. The design allows for an elevator to be added later. Large graphic panels facing the filed add to school spirit while hiding the emergency stairs.
Renovation to existing restrooms and concession eliminated an overcrowded area under the home stadium by reorienting the restroom doors and creating better traffic patterns.
